British-American Business Council of Michigan (BABC)

The British American Business Council of Michigan (BABC), was founded in 2006 and has grown ever since. We are a member of the British American Business Network with over 2,500 members, which includes 21 sister chapters located in sixteen US cities, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Our chapter aims to provide an unparalleled opportunity for Midwest businesses and organizations to extend their reach into the UK and for UK companies to deliver their products, services, and messages to the Michigan region.
We hold frequent functions within the BABC to showcase members' businesses, learn about activities between the countries, and have a bit of fun while doing so. We have a state-of-the-art website to reach out to other members, post on our member board and find out what events are scheduled that might be of interest. Our events include multiple after-work networking opportunities on an annual basis and lots of social functions like our classic British Christmas Dinner, the Dream Cruise at Auto Europe, and participating in cooperation with European Chambers such as wine-tasting and other social get-togethers.

AutoEurope

SERVING ALL EUROPEAN VEHICLES SINCE 1962
Auto Europe, Inc. was founded by Eugen Schick in 1962. Originally located in Pontiac, Michigan and named Pontiac Sports Car, Eugen’s main focus was on the service side of the business. By focusing his efforts, he was able to grow Pontiac Sports Car into one of the largest, independent motor vehicle service centers in the state of Michigan.

The business name was changed in the mid 1980’s to Auto Europe and moved to its current location in Birmingham, Michigan in 1995. Originally, the building on Woodward Avenue served as both the service and sales center. As the business grew, Auto Europe moved its service facility to another location less than one mile away on Eton Street.

In 2001 Auto Europe added The Morgan Motor Company and Lotus Cars to its new vehicle lines. In 2020 we became the US distributor for Intermeccanica International.

Now Auto Europe is a 3rd generation dealership group/family currently managed by Eugen’s son, Tom. Together, Nathan Schick General Sales Manager are largely responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations in sales, service, and parts.
